Balloon Aloft

Our daily sunrise flights over the Byron Bay region – Australia’s most easterly point – gives you the unique opportunity to be the first to watch the morning’s... sunrise over the Australian mainland from the air.   Balloon Aloft Byron Bay adventures have it all. Our newest flight location, Byron Bay is a year-round travel destination with gorgeous beaches, amazing hinterland, superb weather and a wonderful laid-back vibe. Located on the New South Wales Far North Coast, just under an hour south of the Gold Coast airport, the region offers some of the best hot air balloon flights in the country. As Australia's most easterly point and the first place on the Australian mainland to see the sunrise each morning, a Byron Bay ballooning experience offers a unique experience and a spectacular visual diversity of both coast & country. Hot air ballooning is an adventure activity and whilst there are no fixed timelines, your entire experience, including breakfast after the flight, should take approximately 3.5 – 4.5 hours.

Mud Ceramics

MUDDY was born out of a need to get back in touch with our kid selves. To play in the mud fully immersed in the sensory experience. Learning presence, letting go, detachment to a desired result and connection... with ourselves and those sitting next to us.     Mud specialise in the hand building method of clay play and offer beginner - intermediate private and community based workshops and short courses at our Byron base. Small groups, no judgement, big love. MUDDY cultivates an environment to fully explore shape and form to your heart's content. You choose your shape, we guide your hands. We sit, we play, we get connected.

Minyon Falls

Where: Minyon Falls are located in Nightcap National Park in the Byron Hinterland.   How to get there: The quickest route from Byron Bay is around 34km and roughly a 45 minute drive. The last 2.5... km of the road is unsealed, and quite potholed. You don't need a 4WD but it will get a bit bumpy in places.   [caption id="attachment_528" align="aligncenter" width="900"] Minyon Falls at Nightcap National Park in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia[/caption]   What to expect: Drive through the beautiful Byron Bay Hinterland to Minyon Falls lookout, offering stunning views over the falls and rainforest below. With easy parking, picnic spots and barbecue facilities, it’s a fantastic day trip. There is also a great hiking track to the base of the waterfall where you can take a dip - allow for 3-4 hours if you are doing the base walk, there are stairs and boardwalk in sections as well as large boulders to navigate, so a moderate level of fitness and mobility is required for the base walk.

Protesters Falls

Where: Nightcap National Park (8kms from The Channon)   How to get there: Over an hour’s drive from Byron   What to expect: Protesters Falls in the spectacular Nightcap National Park... (on the western side), it’s also a site rich in history. The walk to the falls itself is only 1.4km return, mostly on a timber boardwalk.

Style Surf School

The Byron Style Surfing team are there to share the secrets to surfing and make it a fun day for all. They select between Clarkes, Belongil and Tallow Beaches depending on the weather conditions and the... best place for learners.  

Killen Falls

How to get there: Take the Pacific Highway (north from Ballina, south from Byron Bay) and when you hit Newrybar turn on to Brooklet road. After about 2km turn left off to Friday Hut Road and then turn... left again onto Killen Falls Road.   Killen Falls is located just outside the quaint town of Newrybar. A spectacular waterfall dropping into a large, cool waterhole within a rainforest gully. An easy climb down the embankment.

Cape Byron Distillery

Cape Byron Distillery is nestled in the hills behind Byron Bay, just fifteen minutes from the centre of town. Our cellar door is located in the heart of our family property with just a small parking area,... so we ask that if possible, please use taxi or uber services or ride share with your friends.

Zephyr Horses

Zephyr Horses is a unique coastal horse ranch in the picturesque town of Byron Bay. They offer small personalized horse tours, on the beach, in the beautiful sub-tropical woodlands, and at 'The Farm'.... In addition, they offer mounted archery and trick riding clinics, horseback pub tours, mustering camps, private lessons, 'Mini-Zephyrs' (pony) Club, and team-building activities. The Zephyr Horses team is dedicated to delivering soul-charging, adventure-packed moments to last a lifetime.

The Air T&G professional helicopter pilots are eager to showcase the unique beauty that Byron Bay, Ballina and the greater northern rivers has to offer.     Picturesque... rainforest, miles of sandy beaches and marine life, such as dolphins, rays and turtles are commonly sighted, while during the winter months, humpback whales can be seen as they migrate north.
